Pictures of OZ

Here are some snapshots of my travels along the Great Ocean Road, near Melbourne, Australia. Wandering with friends, Nancy and Andriana, through the Triplets Falls, the Otway Fly, and Maits Rest during November 2008. Ah, the energy of these places and the quietness of the woods still lingers through the images. Click on each photo for a larger image.

Setting Dedications
January 9, 2009
After posting my dedications for the year, I thought it would be useful for the readers of this blog (yes, you!) to know what’s energetically involved in making dedications that actually work out as intended.
Now a dedication is quite distinct from an affirmation or intention. To me, an affirmation is a spiritual statement that says ‘I’m not yet living what I believe to be true’. Similarily, an intention says to me ‘this is what will happen some time in the future – but not now’. They lack power. Do you feel that?
But a dedication has power and bite to it. It says ‘I’m ready to live this now … I have the energy for it … this is what’s so’. See what I mean? There’s no room for ambiguity or half-heartedness.
So, best foot forward, to energetically get to the place where things really do happen, you need to have the following -
- some passion or desire for achieving something of great value to you (perhaps writing that book!)
- an alignment to what you are all about (no sense in wanting to be a rock star if you don’t dig rock!)
- a readiness for action (being proactive and alert to possibilities that fulfill your dedication)
- the moxie to stand in the power of who you are all the time – making things happen
People with energy sensitivity will realise that to stand in the power of something means that you are the energy source for the idea, project, enterprise, or whatever else is your creation. When you are the source of something then the energy that radiates out from you contains the essence of your creation. That’s why it’s easy to tune into someone and say what it is that they are passionate about – you can literally feel their presence.
You probably realise now that a dedication is a statement that tells people what you are working on. When you put your energy into a dedication then you create the reality that you wish to live. You are your energy – a pulsing living creation. When you are congruent with yourself (all your thoughts and actions aligned to what you wish to live) then everything moves into its rightful place.
Are you rededicating your life right now?
Dedications for 2009
January 7, 2009
To start off the New Year my wife and I sat down with a flipchart and decided what we’d like for 2009.
We don’t do resolutions – ours are more along the lines of dedications – as we know that you need the energetic feel of what you want to create, rather than stick some nice ideas on paper that get forgotten by the next day.
Here then are my dedications for this year … and I’m sure that I’ll be coming back to this post to tick them off, one by one.
- To be more publicly known for what I love to do … writing, teleclasses, coaching, energy work.
- To have people value what they have, love who they are, and feel passionate about what they do.
- To have people get a clear understanding of how reality creation can work for them.
- To have a glorious adventure that engages me full on.
- To invent new ways of doing things and explore my creativity more deeply.
- To have people experience a greater depth of loving.
- To write a second book.
Nothing too far-fetched here – all of it’s possible. But I’d better get on with the book writing, as I can procrastinate at times!! My point though in writing this post is that there is power behind these dedications.
First you consider what you wish to do, then you create the energy space in which it can all happen, and finally you live the experience.
Simple, yes? So what are your dedications for 2009?
Changing the Pattern
January 4, 2009
Roger Zelazny, acclaimed Sci-Fi and fantasy writer, wrote a series of novels in the 1970′s about a world called Amber. The first 5 stories were compiled into a single volume called ‘The Chronicles of Amber’ and it has been my entertainment this Christmas.
Amber is described as the one true (immortal) world, against which all other worlds are shadow realities. The book ponders what is true and false; it questions what is real; and it gives beautiful poetic descriptions of travel between the realities. You start to wonder then about what governs a reality.
But I’m not here to discuss the fine writings of Zelazny. I want to uncover how we change the patterns of reality. I want to look at the fine line between order and chaos, between real and unreal, between physical and virtual, simply because we can be more conscious and selective of all of it.
To be conscious of what can be achieved is to be responsible and trustworthy for something far greater than our knowing. And often that requires decisions that take us into the unknown, extending consciousness, so we straddle the infinite – of the known and the unknown together.
In this realm beyond boundaries we see that it is possible to manage simultaneous realities. Perhaps feeling the pulls of an inner world, mixed with writing about life in another universe, and hearing melodies from a non-physical space .. . all of which is real.
I am not afraid that I will lose my place, my connection to all that I love. I am a movement of consciousness that enquires and seeks to understand better the nature of all things.
What holds me in place – in my knowing and my unknowing – is my desire to be present. For reality is not a fixed pattern of events to hold my attention. Reality is a dance of my consciousness amidst the ever expanding consciousness of everything. So to change the pattern of what evolves me is to explore the pattern that involves us all, knowing that my willingness to change is what will give me movement.
I ponder my pattern for a while, noticing that it calls me to live more into my immortality. My consciousness is not earth-bound anymore, for it spreads through the Cosmos. What is changing in my pattern? It seems clear that I am claiming more of who I can be.
Now I look at our collective pattern … then become it. As the pattern, I have the understanding of what connects us. Not through a feeling or an impression, rather an awareness of what is true. Here, just a simple shift in focus changes all. Just the realisation that we are self-patterning beings – of incredible wisdom and presence – enables everything to awaken to new potentialities. For in this awakening, a new pattern emerges that is more real and resplendent still.
Do you walk the pattern with me? What change do you bring to the benefit of all?
