You Are Enough
May 14, 2009
A friend came over from the US, for some personal coaching with my wife and I. During the first few hours she went through a huge consciousness shift, in one of those death/rebirth energy-transformation moments.
Later, we discovered that the source of some of her present problems stemmed from a time in her childhood when she had withdrawn part of herself from the world. She then had to develop strategies for coping, that included a defensive/fight energetic, and over time that became her energetic approach to people – and life.
What we uncovered was that her current life connections were based on her strong self-reliance: the result of her feeling the need to stand up for herself. It was necessary to have self-reliance but it was also necessary for her to develop a new strategy for living, that could encourage deeper relationships to be grown.
The energy transformation piece that she did with us, really showed her that she no longer needed the defensive/fight strategy, because she was now able to stand unmoved by any seeming energetic chaos. She had become bigger than her old life.
We’ve seen this happen so many times – that people are energetically not present because
- they withdraw their lifeforce into themselves, believing that they need protection
- their energy/consciousness goes elsewhere, because of a wish to no longer be in the world
However, when there is a desire to be whole, present, and complete again, then energy becomes available to sustain and source the new desire for life. When that happens people realise that now they are enough; that there is a rich abundance of everything at their fingertips; and that a true love of life is assured.
Now our friend’s connections to herself (and to others) can come from an abundant, life enhancing, and energetically brilliant place.
It’s all in the connections that we allow to generate and grow, within us and to everything around us. When we feel a constant connectiveness then we don’t need to wonder if we are good enough or if what we do is enough – because the question doesn’t exist.
The Greatest Work (3)

The Most Important Question
What’s the most important question that you’ve ever been asked?
For years my wife asked me the same type of question – variations upon, “Did you have a good day?” or “How are you doing?”. Eventually, I explained to her that it wasn’t important to me to think about my day or about my health – what really engaged me was to get an insight into the work that I might be unconsciously doing.
I believe that we create our consciousness, and that every question, every enquiry about our energetic beingness, can help us to hone our collective consciousness.
I remember a decision I made early in my life when I knew I had to develop my own insights and be self-reliant. At that point I lost interest in acquiring information for its own sake but I learned how to ask questions of myself that were both insightful and leaderful.
Now the important questions that I ask people are geared to them getting their own information, and for them to understand the process involved, so that they can be brilliant at doing that.
I know that the right piece of information, presented timely, is invaluable to people’s growth. But there is a greater gift, and that is to have people realise that their consciousness is an ever-expanding interactive conversation, of question and answer, of contemplation and consideration, in which there are no fixed ideas or truths to hold onto.
So instead, we can exchange information that expands, evolves and energises us.
Who are we, I ask?
We are the greatest of possibilities; we are an endless stream of understanding – I reply.
And how do I know that, I further ask?
Because we would have it no other way.
So what’s your next question?
The WishGranter
May 10, 2009
‘What would you like help with?’ I asked my wife in bed one night.
‘Well,’ she replied, ‘I’d like …’ and then she named three things that she wanted to come true.
‘Done.’ I said.
I’ve helped her with several requests over the years, such as -
- to smile more;
- to develop a voice that can be heard;
- to have a good relationship with her body.
My measure of success, for her, has been whether the requests remain in her consciousness or not. Often she is astounded that I can “take things out of her consciousness”.
Here are the steps that I use for “granting wishes”.
- Get a clear statement about what needs to be worked on.
- Say “yes” to it.
- Observe the process of the wish being granted.
Simple isn’t it? I don’t have to check the progress of what goes on. Often my wife will tell me that she’s had proof or feedback that things are going well on the “wish” front.
I smile. Part of what I do is energetic and instantaneous, there is no time delay as far as wish granting is concerned. And part of how I work is in consciousness, knowing that every event can be seen from multiple viewpoints. In consciousness terms, a wish or request requires only a shift in focus from one viewpoint to another. I assist people to live their life from a more conscious place. So, having wishes come true becomes easy.
I love that people learn how to experience their own magic: how to experience something that is beyond their normal range of experience.
We are our own WishMaker /WishGranter – we define the rules that govern the experience of our reality – therefore we can give ourselves whatever we need, including the people who seem to have that magical ability to make dreams come true!
As far as my wife is concerned … I have a magical touch! ![]()
An Unfolding Transformation
May 1, 2009
April heralded physical transformational change for me. At the end of March, I was doing headstands and handstands (and forward rolls!) in the garden with Lucy, a 12 year friend, when I overbalanced and fell on my back. It was a shock to my system but nothing worse, or so it seemed, as I was able to get up without pain or discomfort.
Some five days later and there were pains through my right arm, particularly at the wrist. It made computer work rather difficult as I couldn’t work the mouse for more than a few minutes at a time.
I quickly perceived that my fall had affected my muscles and nerves along my right shoulder down through my right arm. Strangely, I wasn’t concerned about my well-being because I knew that the fall had been purposeful. Moreover, I recognised that here was an opportunity to deal with my physicality in a powerful revolutionary way. Sure, I used a compression bandage and sling to rest the arm, but I dealt with the deep ache inside my arm beyond any normal response.
There was a fire of activity through my forearm. As I felt it, I put my focus upon a restructuring of the cells, on renewal and transformation, and upon the sense of immortality … that shifts our understanding of ourselves as mortal beings and allows us to recognise the pure quality of what we are really made of. “Immortality,” I said to my cells. “We are immortal beings bringing the consciousness of immortality into physical form”.
There were other significant transformations taking place with my friends, two of whom said that they fell over for no particular reason and that they couldn’t help themselves. As we compared stories, we saw that the most important feature was not what happened but rather in how we dealt with our physical recovery.
It’s like a metaphor for the current financial restructuring and economic recovery of the world. What we put our trust in and hold to be true is what changes everything.
We are changing everything … no matter what it might look like on the surface. A fall is not a fall – it is a reassessment of physics and physicality. It causes us to ask questions. What do we wish to do with our bodies: how can we treat our physical beingness with greater comprehension, delight and respect? How can we change the pictures of reality that form in our cells in every moment – and what are those pictures that are unfolding within us?
During April, I focused on immortality as something that could be lived. For when we know ourselves as immortal beings then we unfold transformation in ourselves, and in everything that is around us, and all that we are a part of.
